Designing one of Hydrow's most requested features required extra attention to detail. With Hydrow for Apple Watch, users can pair their watch to their rower to see their live heart rate on both screens—and keep that data after their workout. Adding subltle motion not only enhances the visuals, but adds context for when the watch is connected properly.

To make the interface quick, intuitive, and deliberate, the app has an automatic setup process, easy to understand permissions, and a two-step disconnect button. Preventing accidental presses, the disconnect button expands after one tap, and requires a second tap to confirm ending the workout.
