Transit troubles are universal. No matter what city you're in, it always seems public transit systems are as convoluted as can be. For this project, I designed a prototype for an augmented reality glasses experience. TransitPal conceptualizes a public transit companion app for technology that may soon be mainstream. Real-time overlays show when a train will arrive and provides an accurate countdown of how long you have to get to the platform. Quick entry with contactless payment means no more fiddling with a plastic card. Since glasses are a wearable device, it could know your walking pace and alert you whether you'll make it to the next train on time. Using TransitPal, city residents and visitors would have one less thing to worry about when traveling to their next destination.
